Privacy Policy for Swoop
Last updated: July 22, 2026
Introduction Swoop is designed with your privacy as a foundation, not an afterthought. This Privacy Policy explains what information Swoop does and does not collect, how your data is handled, and what controls you have over it.
By using Swoop, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the app.
No Account Required Swoop does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information to use the app. You can access all core features immediately, without registration.
Information We Do Not Collect Swoop does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:
— Personal identifiers (name, email address, phone number) — Payment or financial information — Device contacts or address book data — Photos, camera roll, or media files — Advertising identifiers or device fingerprints — Analytics, usage telemetry, or crash reports sent to external servers — Persistent location data of any kind
We have no backend, no user database, and no way to identify you as an individual.
Location Data Swoop does not access your location by default.
If you choose to use optional map features — such as planning routes or discovering nearby places — the app may request access to your device's location. This access is used solely in the moment to power those features within the app.
Your location is never stored on your device beyond the active session, never shared with third parties, and never transmitted to any server. You can revoke location permission at any time through your device's system settings, and all other app features will continue to work normally.
Local Data Storage All errand data you create in Swoop — tasks, lists, notes, and preferences — is stored exclusively on your device using the secure storage mechanisms provided by your operating system.
The developer has no access to your data. No copy of your data ever leaves your device unless you explicitly export it yourself.
If you uninstall Swoop, all locally stored data associated with the app will be permanently removed from your device.
Third-Party Services Swoop does not integrate any third-party analytics platforms, advertising networks, crash reporting SDKs, or tracking tools.
No third party receives any information about you or your usage of the app.
If third-party services are ever introduced in a future update, this Privacy Policy will be revised before those changes take effect, and users will be notified through the app or the App Store update notes.
Data Security Because all data remains on your device and nothing is transmitted externally, Swoop's security model is straightforward: your data is as secure as your device. We rely on the encryption and access controls provided by your operating system to protect locally stored information.
We strongly encourage you to use a device passcode or biometric lock and to keep your operating system up to date.
Your Rights and Control You retain complete ownership and control over all data in Swoop at all times.
You may view, edit, or delete any errand or list directly within the app. Uninstalling the app removes all associated data from your device permanently. Since we hold no data about you on any server, there is nothing for us to provide, correct, or erase on your behalf.
If you are located in the European Economic Area or California, please note that the rights afforded to you under GDPR or CCPA, respectively, are inherently satisfied by the fact that we do not collect or process your personal data.
Children's Privacy Swoop is not directed toward children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app collects no personal information from any user, it presents no data-related risk to younger audiences.
If you are a parent or guardian with questions or concerns, please reach out to us using the contact information below.
Changes to This Privacy Policy We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app's features or to comply with applicable laws and regulations. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of Swoop after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
